Phil Comeau, NFB, 1978, 58 min. French with English subtitles

The first major Acadian dramatic film, an overlooked classic, tells of changing values and wagging tongues on Nova Scotia's French Shore in the late 1970s. A newly returned young Acadian couple scandalize the locals by co-habiting; a broad-minded priest just makes things worse in this humourous, fast-paced story.
