7 November, 2024, 6:00pm – 8:00pm

From L-R: Sue Goyette, Ray Cronin, Melanie Zurba.

MacAloney Room (Dalhousie Arts Centre, Room 406)

Join us for a thought-provoking panel discussion on Graeme’s Patterson’s Strange Birds featuring exhibition curator and Curator of Canadian Art at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Ray Cronin; Dalhousie Professor and social scientist Melanie Zurba; and Creative Writing Professor and poet Sue Goyette. With insights into curatorial practices, academic perspectives on environmental sustainability, and creative approaches to tackling the climate crisis, the panel will broaden our understanding of the exhibition’s deeper narrative layers and explore how art can inspire both concern and optimism for our planet's future.

This is a free event and open to the public.
